About Tesalonika
Born on September 16, 1994, in Surabaya, Indonesia. Resides and works in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Tesalonika is an emerging Indonesian artist known for her hyperrealistic drawings: a sleek precision is kept at the core of her practice.
Portraits hold a special place in Tesa’s artistic exploration. Her portraits seek to capture the beauty and complexities of hidden stories, through skilful rendering and attention to detail that breathes life into the eyes of her subjects. Each face Tesa draws, tells a unique story, encapsulating the hidden emotions, experiences, and inner desires, reflecting them back to their spectators.
In a world full of noise and distraction, Tesa wants to her artwork invite us to connect with ourselves, in curiosity and introspection; to acknowledge that emotion is what makes us human and each has a unique story to tell.
